Procurity has always taken pride in finding ways in which to reduce our footprint with respect to waste. You may recall that a couple of years ago Procurity had undergone a re-lamping of the Winnipeg warehouse whereby all of our old, inefficient light fixtures where replaced with much more energy efficient fluorescent fixtures. This reduced our energy consumption for lighting by more than 50% as well; the entire re-lamping project was performed at minimal cost through a rebate initiative provided by Manitoba Hydro.

What you may not know is that at Procurity we recycle all of our cardboard boxes. We use a large compactor that reduces hundreds of cardboard boxes into “bales” that weigh approximately 600 -700 lbs. each. That equates to approximately 2500 lbs. of recycled cardboard a week!

That’s not all we recycle… we have a battery station for cell phone and alkaline batteries, paper recycling bins located throughout the building and a collection bin for pop cans and most other “household recyclables”.

For those Members who wonder about the “coolers” we use to send temperature sensitive items, we have a program to have them sent back to Procurity at no cost to you.
