Broadcasting legend Peter Mansbridge began his journalism career in rural Manitoba, just one of the many reasons Procurity is excited to announce Procurity's Encounter Brand as the official sponsor of 'Encounter – an Evening With Peter Mansbridge' on November 4, 2011 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
The event is a joint-fundraiser for the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation and The Tallman Foundation – both Manitoba-based charities. According to Wayne Rivers CEO of Procurity it was fitting that the company choose to sponsor this special engagement. "The important work of these charities, the integrity and professionalism of Peter Mansbridge, combined with his local ties and the fact that he is Canadian all contribute to make this an event we are proud to support and position our premiere Encounter brand of private label products alongside..."
Through a connection with Manbridge's daughter Pam, who lives in Winnipeg and Chairs a Committee for the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation, organizers have been working to create an intimate setting and unique experience for those who attend. "We are very fortunate that Peter agreed to join us for this exclusive engagement, and to share his insights and unique take on the People, Places and Perspectives that have been most influential throughout his award-winning broadcasting career on CBC Television." said Christine Schollenberg, Executive Director for the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation.

The Children's Rehabilitation Foundation is the fundraising arm for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC), which provides children with disabilities with services that enable them to live with independence and ability in their own homes, schools and communities.
The Tallman Foundation is dedicated to supporting positive education and healthy living programs for youth, in Winnipeg.
