Established in 1978 as United Pharmacists Ltd., Procurity is the purchasing, distribution, and marketing arm for a network of pharmacies across Canada. We are 100% owned by independent pharmacists, governed by an elected Board of Directors. Any profits beyond annual and operating targets, and special initiatives are returned to members.

Highly visible banner programs, CounterWise Drug Marts and CounterCare Pharmacies, operate in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Programs include full support services from store acquisition to advertising to product distribution to succession planning.

Procurity's distribution centers in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton ship to independent  pharmacies, buying groups and chains across Western Canada. Procurity's Encounter Brand is an extensive line of private label products, which provide a proprietary, high profit alternative to brand name equivalents.

A voice and vehicle for the security and growth of community pharmacy, Procurity invests in professional development for its members. We advocate on behalf of all community pharmacists as well as the related industry sectors we represent.
