Support Programs
What
pharmacists stand for
CounterBalance pharmacists represent your network of associates across Western Canada: dedicated
pharmacists who provide professional services, engage in professional development, believe in
supporting their community and have a voice in the industry.
Professional Services
An expert on the use of medications, a CounterBalance Pharmacist is dedicated to their
important role as part of their customer’s health care cycle. Committed to the integrity of
their practice and customer care, they provide accurate prescriptions, direction on how to take
medications, and helpful advice to ensure the health and well being of their customers.
Professional Development
CounterBalance Pharmacists work to acquire new skills and knowledge that keep them on the cutting
edge of pharmacy practice. Pharmacists at your store are provided with access to health information,
opportunities to attend continuing education programs, clinics and the Procurity Annual Conference.
Through these supports they maintain the highest
level of knowledge and stay abreast of new pharmaceutical developments.
Professional Practice Supports
Procurity provides your store and its pharmacists with support materials that promote and enhance
the CounterBalance philosophy and brand, such as blister packs, lab coats and in-store health
pamphlets.
Community Services
CounterBalance Pharmacists are actively involved in their communities. They are recognized
for presentations on health care topics that they make to their local community groups and their
participation in professional organizations.
Represented by Procurity
Procurity advocates for community pharmacy on behalf of CounterBalance Pharmacists to the industry,
government and media. Through Procurity they promote their special brand of community pharmacy
to future pharmacists at the university level, via affinity and partnership programs with the
faculties and academic community.
